Recipe:
Crust
Graham Crackers- 2 to 2 1/2 packages
Butter-1/2 stick melted
Vanilla-1tsp
Sugar-1/4 cup
Salt- a pinch
Combine all of the ingredients (except liquids) into a food processor and blend until crackers are completely broken up. If your processor has a spout drizzle in melted butter and vanilla and let it blend until combined. Then dump mixture into a greased 9x13 pan and spread evenly. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for about 5-8 minutes. The edges should have a little color but not much.
Once the crust cools this is when the fun part begins! You simply add your layers and cover them in sweetened condensed milk. You can use chocolate chips, nuts, coconut, dried fruits, candy, and just about anything else you can think of. Here is a sample of what I did for this bar.
Layer Recipe:
Semi-Sweet Chocolate chip- 1 cup
Milk Chocolate chip-1 cup
Dark Chocolate Chip-1cup
Toffee Chip- 1 cup
Pecans- 1 cup
Coconut- 1 bag
Sweetened Condensed Milk- 2 14oz cans
You just add the ingredients on top of the crust and top with the milk. Then bake in a 375 degree preheated oven for 25 to 27 minutes. There should be very little jiggle in the pan if you give it a shake. If you do choose to use coconut it is a good idea to cover the pan for the first 10 to 15 minutes with aluminum foil. This will prevent the coconut from burning. Definitely give this variation a try or make your own. Share your creation of Facebook or Instagram!
